So nice having Sekera back. Love those spin moves at the blue line.

I laughed my ass off when he shot the puck right into a guys shins again.

I was like "the shinpad assassin's back boys!"

He's been playing well though. It's great.

I think everyone's been astonished how well he's recovered. I think he might make it up to the second pairing soon-ish, Stauffer hinted there might be some shuffling on D due to Klef and Lars not working well together at the moment

Lars has been a tire fire this year. It's hard to believe to be honest.

I'm OK with taking the slow approach with Sekera. You can tell he is a bit slower but he still has that veteran confidence and calmness to make a play instead of throwing it away or coughing up a turn over.

Would someone be able to share the Popeye's code please?

level 2

Last I heard Popeye's was not running this promotion anymore.

Oh damn! I'm currently listening to the replay of the game because I thought I missed it. I guess I can stop now.

Listening to the game on 630, I thought it was Currie, but its also a new promotion, so no idea what that means chicken wise

We’re so bad that Ottawa fires their coach after losing to us!

Weird move to fire your coach when you have nothing to play for.

Must mean Dorion is under pressure or something.

I mean they kinda do still have to win to reduce the chance Duchene ends up costing a high lottery pick since they don’t own their first rounder

I honestly feel so bad for Guy. Melnyk has handcuffed Dorion into trading away every star player they have had in their last 5 years.

Now, Guy has such a bullshit roster to deal with.

Honestly, get Melnyk the fuck out of the league.

Sure but they still sucked when they had Karlsson, Duchene, Stone, and Dzingel.

Being totally honest, I don't think coaching was all that great to begin with.

No defensive depth outside of Karlsson and Methot, then they traded both. Anderson also has a thing where he's insane one season then trash the next, which hasn't help much. Their 3rd/4th lines were also often terrible.

That said, their coaching was a problem. Boucher is very traditional in the sense that he wants players to do exactly what he says, and is very critical of any errors players make. He also loves his low-end, grindy type guys a-la Chia. Dorion made a roster full of holes but Boucher made those holes bigger by mis-using players and poorly using what strengths he had to work with.

Finally! The Oilers win a game where they didn't deserve to win! I don't think they played their best, but they had some skilled players pot some key goals. The Cave goal was icing on the cake!

They hung in there at the end and Koskinen must be well liked by the refs or something. Koskinen + Hitch get way more calls than Talbot + McLellan ever did!

With Hitch having been in the game as long as he has, I have to imagine he's better liked than McLellan

Kosko so tall he probably scares the refs

I feel bad for the Sens coach. Terrible GM makes big moves and the team loses a lot. And now he just got fired this morning cause of us
